About the role
Provides direct psychiatric patient care, ensuring safety and supporting a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients
- Advocate for vulnerable patients
- Offer family counseling and interventions
- Adhere to safety guidelines for special patient statuses
- Deliver shift reports
- Respond quickly in emergencies
- Maintain professional boundaries
- Complete documentation promptly
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- BLS certification (preferred)
- Experience is a plus but not mandatory
- CPI training must be completed within 30 days
Skills
- Teamwork and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records
- Multitasking and basic computer skills
- Effective communication with patients, staff, and families
Schedule
Onsite position, 24 hours weekly, primarily during day shifts, with weekend availability.
Pay
$19.81 to $28.30 hourly.
