Job Overview/Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals and families. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client wellness and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services using evidence-based practices
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic healthcare record (EHR) system
• Ensure all required documentation is completed within prescribed time frames
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and supervision as required
• Maintain compliance with all agency, state, and regulatory guidelines

Primary Skills

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health practices
• Skilled in individual, family, and group counseling techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic healthcare records
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Secondary Skills (Good To Have)

• Experience presenting educational workshops or community lectures
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Familiarity with community mental health settings

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or related field
• Must qualify as a MHP or QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
• Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements (designated positions)
• Must have reliable transportation (designated positions)
