Mental Health Clinician

Liberty Healthcare’s forensic mental health program in San Diego County serves inmates who have been determined incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness. The program’s goal is to provide rapid mental health services to achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities

• Providing mental health services to clients one-to-one and in-person
• Performing psychosocial evaluations
• Providing cognitive-behavioral treatment, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention
• Documenting treatment and progress
• Participating in clinical team meetings
• Consulting and collaborating with clinical, ancillary, and security staff

Work Setting

You will split time working onsite at these two jail facilities:

• Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility at 451 Riverview Parkway in Santee, CA 92071
• Rock Mountain Detention Facility at 406 Alta Road in San Diego, CA 92158 (nearby Otay Mesa)

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay between $90,000 and $120,000 (depending on qualifications)

Requirements

• Must be licensed professionally in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Willing and able to work onsite at both jail locations noted above
• Spanish-speaking skills are highly desired
