Mental Health Clinician

Position Summary
The Mental Health Clinician provides behavioral health counseling to participants at Harm Reduction sites, ensuring they have access to necessary services and maintaining client records according to agency policies.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Client Services: Coordinate with Harm Reduction staff to receive referrals from SAP participants, conduct brief mental health screenings and assessments, provide additional behavioral health services, and ensure appropriate linkages to detoxification, outpatient, or inpatient care.
- Reporting / Monitoring: Establish, maintain, and update client case records, prepare monthly reports, and update client information in required data systems.
- Hyacinth Representation / Advocacy: Attend and participate in staff meetings and training opportunities, observe established administrative procedures, develop administrative procedures, provide written reports as required, represent the agency at community events, meetings, and conferences, and adhere to Hyacinth policies and procedures including client confidentiality provisions.
- Training and Certifications: Attend and participate in staff training opportunities.
Requirements
- Education: LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC or PhD, with a dual license with LCADC preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of related experience in HIV and substance use field.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and interests, proficiency in written and verbal communications, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
