Mental Health Clinician
About the role
You will work with adults aged 18 and older who have been discharged from lesser levels of care such as an adult family home or Assisted Living facility, and need additional behavior supports to maintain that placement.
Responsibilities
- Meet with the client and support systems to create a Safety and Crisis Plan and Individual Behavior Support Plan.
- Meet with the client weekly to focus and work toward their reported goals.
- Engage family members and the residential staff, collaborating and educating them on ways to more successfully work with the clients.
- Maintain ongoing evaluations, progress notes, plans, and meeting documentation to show client progress or behaviors to address.
- Work an after-hour phone crisis response approximately 1 week every 3 months.
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- 2 years’ direct treatment experience with clients with a mental health diagnosis, under the supervision of a mental health professional (supervised Internship/practicum hours contribute to this experience).
- Eligible as a Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor through WA DOH (we can assist with submission).
- Licensed in Washington as a Social worker, Mental health counselor, or other Behavioral health provider or be licensed at an Associate level in one of these disciplines.
- An application as a Certified or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor is needed until the Associate license is secured.
- Licensed in Washington as a Behavior Analyst with accompanying Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst.
- Satisfactory results of fingerprinting and background checks.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance.
