Mental Health Associate, Per Diem-Evening, Somerville NJ

About the role

Mental Health Associates provide support to individuals with eating disorders in a hospital setting. They assist patients in developing coping strategies, monitor their progress, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients with eating disorders
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient interactions and progress in electronic health records
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Current New Jersey licensure as a Mental Health Associate or equivalent certification
• Experience working with individuals with eating disorders preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of eating disorder treatment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Passing score on the Clinical Supervision Assessment (CSA)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.50 per hour.

Schedule
