Responsibilities

  • Under the direction and supervision of the Charge RN, RN, or LVN, assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Perform therapeutic interventions with clients, such as group therapy, one-on-one counseling, or crisis intervention.
  • Support unit functions and maintain a safe, therapeutic, and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Function as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team and communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN.
  • Perform clerical duties as assigned and provide basic nursing care for children, adolescents, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Utilize education to provide designated group modalities and individual observations to help patients learn new coping skills, identify relationship conflicts, and develop conflict-resolution strategies.
  • Provide emotional support to patients by listening to concerns, empathizing, and assisting in finding solutions.
  • Monitor patients’ progress throughout treatment to ensure compliance with their plans and provide pertinent team meeting information.
  • Perform responsibilities within the guidelines of Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy, and state regulatory and accrediting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
  • One (1) year of prior behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.

Pay

The estimated compensation range for this role is $20.00/Hr. to $27.00/Hr. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Schedule

Per Diem, Day Shift.
