Mental Health Administrator 1
About the role
At COBH Plans, this position involves organizing and facilitating a comprehensive treatment program of recreation, art, or music therapy/adjunctive therapy (AT) for assigned units. Conducts therapy sessions using defined techniques and mediums, conducts individual and group therapy sessions for evaluation and skills/performance development, evaluates patient progress towards treatment goals and objectives, completes documentation to Joint Commission and CMS standards, functions as a primary member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, plans, organizes, and facilitates a comprehensive treatment plan, coordinates treatment team responsibilities, maintains scheduling of patient services.
Responsibilities
- Conducts therapy sessions using defined therapy techniques and mediums
- Conducts individual and group therapy sessions for evaluation and skills/performance development in areas of discipline
- Evaluates patient progress toward treatment goals and objectives
- Completes documentation to Joint Commission and CMS standards
- Functions as a primary member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Plans, organizes, and facilitates a comprehensive treatment plan on behalf of the interdisciplinary treatment team and coordinates treatment team responsibilities
- Maintains scheduling of patient services
Requirements
- 24 months of experience in developing and implementing treatment/habilitation plans for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled and working as part of an interdisciplinary team to assess individual’s needs and abilities
- 12 months of experience as a lead worker providing work direction and training for other employees
- 12 months of training or 12 months of experience in state and/or federal regulations and standards governing care, custody, and programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers
- Bachelor's degree in music therapy from an accredited institution approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
- Completion of a 6-month, 1040-hour music therapy internship at an approved AMTA site and board certification (MT-BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)
- 24 months of experience in activity therapy
Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in mental health and developmental disabilities technology, social work, or comparable field (e.g., child and family community services), special education, psychology, or rehabilitation
- 12 months of experience as a lead worker providing work direction and training for other employees
- 12 months of training or 12 months of experience in state and/or federal regulations and standards governing care, custody, and programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers

Pay
This position is located within COBH at 2200 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43223. This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 30 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule.
Schedule
This position is full-time with a schedule of 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
