Memory Disorders - Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Professor of Clinical Neurology Series
About the role
The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks a board eligible/certified physician to join its Memory Disorders Program. The successful candidate will participate in specialty and interdisciplinary clinics at UCI Health, combining outstanding clinical care with an academic commitment to research and the training of residents, medical students, and post-doctoral fellows.
Responsibilities
- Caring for patients with cognitive disorders
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neuropsychologists, and allied health professionals
- Teaching fellows, residents, and medical students
- Conducting research and contributing to scholarly activities
- Participation in clinical trials and research initiatives
Requirements
- M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree with active board certification or eligibility in Neurology with fellowship training in Memory Disorders, Geriatric Neurology, Dementia, and Aging
- Experience in a collaborative, comprehensive neurosciences center
- Active involvement in international, national, and/or regional professional societies
- Experience in teaching and/or participation in clinical research or clinical trials

Pay
The salary range for this position is Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculated based on AAMC salary benchmarks for Neurology, ranging from $220,000.00 - $289,940.00. The minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment is set by the UC salary scales.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is full-time, with regular hours to be determined upon hire.
