Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to create a positive school culture that promotes student achievement and staff professional growth.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate school improvement plans in alignment with district goals and state standards.
• Supervise and evaluate staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Manage school operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Engage with parents, community members, and stakeholders to build strong partnerships and support student success.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and equitable learning environment for all students.
• Monitor and analyze student performance data to drive instructional decisions and interventions.
• Oversee curriculum development and implementation to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Administrator Certificate with a building-level endorsement (e.g., School Administrator, Principal).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a K-12 setting.
• Demonstrated experience in school leadership, such as assistant principal, dean, or other administrative roles.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (required).
• Experience with school improvement initiatives, strategic planning, and budget management.
• Familiarity with Michigan’s educational standards, assessments, and accountability systems.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Proven track record of improving student achievement and closing opportunity gaps.
