About the role
Responsible for providing compassionate care to residents in memory care facilities. Duties include assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and maintaining a safe living environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and meal preparation
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of living areas
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance caregiving skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience in a caregiving or related field preferred
- Passing score on a background check
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills
- Knowledge of memory care best practices
- Basic computer skills for accessing resident records
