About the role

The Membership Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day membership operations, engagement initiatives, and institutional member relationship management supporting ACCC's national network of cancer programs, oncology practices, and multidisciplinary cancer care professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the ACCC membership program, including recruitment, onboarding, renewals, and member services.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with member organizations and individuals to support engagement, retention, and long-term membership value.
  • Serve as a primary contact for membership inquiries and support requests from member institutions and professionals.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new member organizations to ensure awareness of ACCC resources and engagement opportunities.
  • Support development and implementation of membership growth, retention, and engagement strategies in partnership with Membership leadership and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to expand member recruitment, participation, and engagement across ACCC's membership network, including multidisciplinary care teams within member organizations.
  • Deliver targeted outreach, prospecting, and recruitment activities designed to advance membership growth and strengthen member community and collaboration in conjunction with other internal business units.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote member participation across ACCC programs, committees, working groups, meetings, webinars, educational offerings, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Create and maintain accurate membership records within the organization’s association management system (AMS).
  • Track membership engagement metrics including participation across ACCC programs, committees, and events.
  • Generate membership reports, dashboards, and engagement analyses to support strategic decision-making and membership growth initiatives.
  • Monitor membership renewal cycles and coordinate retention outreach efforts designed to support long-term member engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with Communications, Education, and Corporate Development teams to ensure the membership value promise is integrated into organizational initiatives.
  • Coordinate with marketing staff to strategically promote membership benefits and engagement opportunities.
  • Provide membership insights and feedback to internal teams to inform program development.
  • Support development and implementation of strategies designed to increase member participation across ACCC meetings, educational programs, volunteerism, committees, working groups, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities to strengthen member engagement, community building, and multidisciplinary participation through ACCC programs and events.
  • Coordinate membership-related activities associated with ACCC conferences, webinars, and educational programs to support broader membership growth and engagement objectives.
  • Analyze member participation trends and engagement data to identify opportunities for increased involvement, retention, and membership value realization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in membership management, association operations, member engagement, healthcare administration, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience managing membership programs, member services operations, or institutional client/member relationships.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience utilizing association management systems (AMS), CRM platforms, or comparable membership databases, including experience with data reporting and engagement analytics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business applications.

Additional Details

This position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed and may be modified as organizational needs evolve. Work Environment: Remote work environment requiring sustained computer use and extensive virtual collaboration. Occasional overnight travel required for organizational meetings, conferences, member engagement activities, and other business needs (approximately 5-10%).

Compensation

The anticipated hiring range for this position is a salary band of $75,000-$100,000. Starting compensation will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.
