Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Increases visibility and obtains new members by promotion and education of credit union products and services.
- Attends events on behalf of the credit union to discover new network opportunities and remains active in the community.
- Assists with planning and participates in community, business development and member retention events.
- Counsels regular phone calls and visits to promote credit union awareness within the schools and community.
- Compiles detailed and accurate reports related to business development activity.
- Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to): USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Truth in Savings, Privacy, etc.
- Develops and maintains strong knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Public speaking representative for events of all sizes (up to 200+) representing the Credit Union.
- Yearly review of Chamber of Commerce sites and utilizes digital blast to Chamber members, monthly or as often as membership will allow.
Position Requirements
- Minimum one year of marketing/business development experience preferred.
- A high school education or GED required. Two year degree preferred.
- Ability to display strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
- Ability to manage projects through to completion.
- Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work irregular hours as dictated by scheduled events.
- Ability to work on-site at designated location.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for job related travel.
- Ability to speak to groups of all sizes in a professional and precise manner.
- Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
- Must be bondable.
Ergonomic Considerations
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
- Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
- Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
- Ability to operate office machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
