About the role
Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assign duties, communicate goals, and provide feedback to associates.
- Train associates on processes, procedures, and member service approaches to resolve complaints and issues according to company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, support the Open Door Policy, and participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members.
- Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals; participate in sales and marketing events; and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, guiding members on self-service technology, and ensuring transactions are completed accurately.
- Oversee the assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, organizing carts/flatbeds, assisting with item transport, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness.
- Complete accounting records, file transactions, and maintain documentation by following accounting procedures, preparing deposits, investigating cash discrepancies, and ensuring confidentiality of financial information.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability to change.
- Foster a culture of respect by embracing diversity, building trusting relationships, and mentoring others.
- Act with integrity by maintaining ethical standards, accountability, and supporting Walmart’s regenerative goals.
- Serve customers and members by delivering results, balancing priorities, and making decisions based on reliable information.

Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a front-end team.
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.50 to $30.50. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
