About the role
Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while supporting the Open Door Policy.
Responsibilities
- Assign duties, communicate goals, and provide feedback to associates.
- Train associates on processes, procedures, and member service approaches to resolve complaints and issues according to company guidelines.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members.
- Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals; and participate in sales and marketing events.
- Complete and maintain marketing recaps and documentation to meet membership goals and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and guiding members on self-service technology.
- Assist members with transactions using registers or self-checkout and ensure club pickup orders are filled.
- Oversee the assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning, arranging merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and maintaining cart availability.
- Assist members with transporting items and maintain parking lot cleanliness using cart retrieval equipment.
- Complete accounting records, file transactions, and prepare financial reports, deposits, and cash fund transfers.
- Investigate overages, shortages, and accounting-related issues while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers.
- Analyze information from multiple sources, monitor progress, and address improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and supporting timelines and work quality.
- Model adaptability to change and help others navigate new challenges.

Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a front-end team.
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
