Member Team Lead-2
Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned areas by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches, resolving member complaints, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits; processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encouraging renewals; participating in sales and marketing events; completing marketing recaps; and promoting Sam’s Club products and services.
- Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding members on self-service technology, processing transactions, and ensuring club pickup orders are filled.
- Oversees assigned area of responsibility by handling claims and returns, zoning merchandise, arranging and organizing stock, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining cart availability, assisting with member transport, and ensuring parking lot cleanliness.
- Completes accounting records and documentation by following office procedures, providing register funds, creating financial reports, assisting with investigations, preparing deposits, overseeing cash fund transfers, and investigating overages/shortages while maintaining confidentiality.
- Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers; analyzing information; monitoring progress; and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by explaining, guiding, and modeling compliance; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting with ethical issue resolution.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback, and helping others adapt to change.

Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a front-end team.
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
