About the Role
The Member Support Specialist provides service and support to Girl Scout members, focusing on retaining girl and adult membership in assigned geographic areas through excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing support to members in the assigned geographic area.
- Problem-solves, manages, and responds appropriately to all inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Collaborates to ensure effective support of parents, troops, and volunteers.
- Optimizes the use of technology, including Salesforce and web-based video conferencing, to support members.
- Utilizes data analysis software to track, organize, and analyze membership information.
- Supports GSSEM's overall customer support plan by assisting customers via retail curbside as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including regularly working evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software programs as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel to GSSEM service centers and meetings throughout the designated territories.

Physical Activities and Demands
- Climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, keyboarding, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently.
- Heavy visual activity: preparing and analyzing data and figures, and using a computer terminal, laptop, and tablet.
Working Conditions
Activities occur both in office and outdoors.
