Member Specialist (Part-Time)
About the role
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.
Responsibilities
- Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
- Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.
- Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
- Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
- Zones, arranges, and organizes merchandise, and identifies shrink and damages.
- Secures and safeguards Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity according to company policies.
- Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.
- Assists with training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures, new technology, and program rollouts.
- Ensures compliance with company security, safety, and ethics policies, including the Open Door Policy.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and business partners, and adapting to feedback.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
