Member Specialist

About the role

Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance on self-service technology. Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies for various membership and payment types.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
• Handle merchandise according to proper procedures and report unsafe situations to facility management.
• Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
• Resolve member issues and promote company products and services.
• Zone, arrange, and organize merchandise, ensuring a safe shopping environment.
• Secure and safeguard Sam's Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
• Maintain paperwork, logs, and required documentation, and execute emergency response procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company security and safety practices.
• Train Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, new technology, and tool functionality.
• Deliver training for new program rollouts and provide continuous learning opportunities.
• Ensure the area of responsibility is maintained according to company policies, handling returns, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and business partners, adapting to change and feedback.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may range from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
