Member Specialist

About the role

As a Walmart Member Specialist, you will maintain your area of responsibility in accordance with Company policies and procedures, provide member service, assist with securing and safeguarding Sam’s Club assets, and support the training of Member Frontline Service associates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure area is maintained by handling returns, zoning, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Provide member service by:
  • Maintaining exit areas and reviewing member receipts.
  • Acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Assisting members with locating merchandise.
  • Maintaining the self-checkout area, resolving member issues, and promoting Sam’s Club products and services.
  • Providing guidance on self-service technology and processing member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges for various membership and payment types.
  • Assisting members with transactions in the self-checkout area.
• Assist with securing Sam’s Club assets by:
  • Observing and communicating potential criminal activity according to company policies.
  • Maintaining paperwork logs and required documentation.
  • Executing emergency response procedures and ensuring compliance with security and safety practices.
• Assist in training Member Frontline Service associates on company processes, new technology, tool functionality, and program rollouts, while providing continuous learning opportunities.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, including using the Open Door Policy.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers, identifying priorities, and adapting to feedback.

• Retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
• Experience working with mobile retail applications.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
