Member Services Representative Weekend 7am-5pm
About the role
Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group based in Austin, TX, operates 130+ clubs across six states including Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. With new locations opening annually, the company offers career growth opportunities starting from entry-level positions. Senior managers often began as front-desk staff and have advanced to roles with base salaries beginning at $42k as General Manager, $60k as Regional Manager (overseeing 5–10 locations), and over $100k as Regional Director (overseeing 10+ locations).
Responsibilities
- Check members into the system
- Provide facility tours and assist prospective members with new account sign-ups
- Update member accounts as needed
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and escalate to Assistant Manager or Manager when necessary
- Perform detailed cleaning throughout all areas of the facility
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills with a positive and professional demeanor
- Ability to interact effectively with members and coworkers, exceeding expectations
- Customer service background preferred
- Punctuality and reliability
- Diplomatic communication using appropriate behavior and language
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical Demands
- Continual standing and walking during shift
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Occasional exposure to commercial cleaning products
Safety Protocols
All team members are required to wear masks while inside clubs. Enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols are in place to maintain a safe environment. Contactless check-in is available for members, and social distancing is encouraged.
