Member Service Representative II - Costa Mesa Branch (Costa Mesa, CA)

About the role

The role involves providing consultative services to members regarding credit union products and services, assisting in membership and loan account establishment, and promoting member engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service and increase member satisfaction by taking a consultative approach during interactions.
• Adhere to Branch Service Standards and enforce Wescom's Mission Statement, Vision, Core Values, and Team Attributes.
• Ensure member issues are handled promptly and resolved at the first point of contact.
• Deliver the Member Experience and achieve success in Member Experience Surveys.
• Support Platform and Teller activities, including assisting in both areas as needed.
• Conduct wellness calls and respond to inquiries from members, departments, and Branch Management.
• Identify and refer Wescom product and service opportunities to business partners.
• Identify and mitigate potential fraudulent activity and report it.
• Perform high-quality, accurate work with minimal errors.
• Use the CON2ECT model to build relationships and identify member needs.
• Collaborate with business partners to refer members and leverage appointment systems and liaisons.
• Engage in Insurance Services and Financial Services, referring to specialists and business partners.
• Pursue career path opportunities if approved by management.
• Maintain proficiency in technology and contribute to process improvement.
• Maintain branch compliance with audit and security standards.
• Communicate effectively, maintain professional appearance, and ensure branch compliance.

Requirements

High school graduate. Previous financial industry and customer service experience preferred.

Skills

• Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Technology applications including the Credit Union's operating system and specialized software
• Basic mathematical skills
• Physical demands: standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, lifting up to 10 pounds, and adjusting focus
