Member Service Representative II - Contact Center Rep
About the role
The Member Service Rep in the Contact Center plays a crucial role in assisting Atlanta Postal Credit Union's members with banking transactions, account inquiries, new account openings, online banking services, and other financial needs. We are looking for friendly, service-oriented professionals with 2+ years' experience in a similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members in alignment with our Service Promises
- Engage members in dialogue to ensure timely processing of payment and transfer services
- Open new accounts and assist existing members with account updates
- Facilitate member inquiries and concerns by connecting them with internal business partners
- Build positive relationships with members and peers
- Complete member relationship-building assignments such as follow-up calls and pre-determined member contact intervals
- Set up share/loan allocations for accounts
- Engage in needs-based dialogue with members to recommend and position credit union products and services
- Make referrals to internal partners for product delivery
- Engage in member retention conversations
- Handle inbound calls in a call center environment, providing member services according to guidance, processes, and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of retail and account opening procedures
- Follow BSA/AML and OFAC regulations
- Manage day-to-day tasks through indirect reporting relationships or a matrixed management approach
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years transactional work experience in banking, financial services, or a credit union
- 10-key calculator, typing, and keying skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field of study (or 2 years of additional specific work experience in lieu of degree)
- 2 years specific member-facing work experience within a Credit Union
- Prior experience completing transactions in Symitar and Meridian Link
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking preferred)

Pay
Target Hiring Pay Range: $18.98 - $23.73 per hour. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as licenses or certifications, education or equivalent work experience, market data, qualifications, relevant experience, prior work and performance history, geographic location, and business sector.
