Member Service Representative II

About the role

The Member Service Representative II (MSRII) position at Atlanta Postal Credit Union is seeking candidates with 2+ years of experience in in-branch member service, including opening accounts, cross-selling products, and performing bank transactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members, aligning with the credit union's Service Promises.
• Periodically work at various APCU/CPCU locations due to long-term absences, business needs, projects, or business continuity needs.
• Process a variety of member transactions, including visa payments, transfers, loan payments, deposits, U.S. Savings bond transactions, cash advances, etc.
• Serve as a lead teller, managing day-to-day tasks through indirect reporting relationships or a matrixed management approach.
• Engage in needs-based dialogue with members to recommend and position credit union products and services.
• Complete member relationship-building assignments, such as follow-up calls, pre-determined member contact intervals, and acknowledge important dates.
• Open and assist with changes to member accounts, set up share/loan allocations, and engage in outbound calls and member retention conversations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of retail and account opening procedures, and follow BSA/AML and OFAC regulations.
• Manage day-to-day tasks through indirect reporting relationships or a matrixed management approach, collaborating with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of transactional work experience in banking, financial services, or a credit union.
• Associate’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field of study, or 2 years of additional specific work experience in lieu of degree.
• 2 years specific member-facing work experience within a Credit Union.
• Prior experience completing transactions in Symitar and Meridian Link.
• Must be physically able to operate various automated office machines and lift/carry up to 25 pounds.

Pay and Schedule

The pay range for this position is $18.98 - $23.73 per hour, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as licenses/certifications, education, experience, and geographic location.
