Member Service Representative

About the role

Talquin Electric Cooperative is seeking a service-oriented Member Services Representative for its Quincy and Lake Jackson locations.

Responsibilities

• Process, handle, and account for payments
• Accurately process payments and service requests
• Clearly explain policies, procedures, fees, and charges to customers
• Work directly with the public in a professional office environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of general office experience preferred

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, tactful, and service-oriented demeanor
• Strong clerical, organizational, and recordkeeping abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
• Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures, and detailed instructions

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required
• Must live within a 30‑minute drive of a Talquin Electric office
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screening, and background check

Schedule

• Must be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
