About the role

Our Member Service Representatives create and sustain a welcoming environment with a desire to discover and support members’ financial needs and goals. They assist members with everyday transactions, account opening, maintenance, and consumer lending needs while delivering exceptional service. Proactively engage with members to uncover needs and enhance member relationships by educating members about products and services that allow them to bank smarter and meet their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service from start to finish with each member.
• Proactively engage with members while opening new accounts such as savings, checking, IRAs, CDs, Visa, and debit card products for both consumer and business members.
• Perform all member transactions discreetly and confidentially.
• Treat each member as an individual and enhance member relationships by asking discovery questions with a genuine curiosity to help members achieve their goals.
• Provide solutions by educating members about products and services.
• Process all member transactions when needed and assist members with general account questions within the scope of the role.
• Know when to refer members to the appropriate team member for additional products and services such as loans, commercial products, and wealth management.
• Ensure cash drawer and branch are in proof at the close of every business day and research errors as needed.
• Follow established processes and guidelines in daily activities ethically and with integrity.
• Prioritize learning Coastal1 products and services and complete assigned training within the required timeframe.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6–12 months of demonstrated successful work experience as an MSR I or banker with a strong background in customer service or equivalent.
• Previous teller experience required.
