Under the general direction of the Membership Director and consistent with the Christian mission and the policies and procedures set forth by the YMCA of Catawba Valley, the Member Services Associate plays a key role in assisting members and supporting daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary attention to member needs, including membership and program enrollment.
- Accept payments for programs, memberships, and other transactions; manage cash drawer.
- Monitor member traffic to ensure proper usage of membership cards.
- Answer and direct telephone calls as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of displays, bulletin boards, workspace around computers, and coffee area.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Membership Director.
- Serve as a communication link between shifts for tasks such as copies that need to be made.
- Perform other office duties, including running daily errands.
- Fulfill any other miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Work as part of the YMCA team to ensure the mission is fulfilled.
- Create a safe, inclusive environment by following all YMCA policies and procedures related to abuse prevention, reporting concerns, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with youth and members.
Requirements
- High school graduate (preferred) with previous general office experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with office equipment.
- Must pass the quiz for Daxko (membership software) training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and attention to detail to ensure member satisfaction.
- Complete understanding of YMCA programs and services to explain them accurately to members and potential members.

Pay
USD $11.00 - USD $11.00 per hour.
