About the role
The Role Output is developing a biological reasoning model that learns at the scale and complexity of life, enabling novel drug treatments. This role requires a deep understanding of molecular biology and the ability to construct and evaluate training datasets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand training datasets for biological and molecular interactions
- Design and implement benchmarks to measure model learning capabilities
- Collaborate with model researchers to determine data priorities and integration strategies
- Create rigorous data splitting and evaluation strategies to ensure generalization
- Stay updated on biological data sources and experimental methods
Requirements
- PhD in computational biology, biophysics, structural biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of post-doctoral or industry research experience
- Experience working with large-scale biological or molecular datasets
- Strong programming skills in Python for data processing
- Understanding of machine learning models' requirements from training data
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of molecular interactions, protein structure, and biological data
- Experience with computational biology tools like structure prediction, molecular docking, or virtual screening
- Experience training or evaluating machine learning models on molecular or biological data
- Publishations in computational biology, bioinformatics, or molecular informatics
- Background in cheminformatics or molecular data analysis
- Experience working with protein or molecular language models
