Member of Technical Staff - RL Training Framework

About the role

The RL infrastructure team at SpaceXAI is seeking an engineer to develop the company's RL training framework. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing systems for all RL workloads, from small scale experiments to production runs, profiling, debugging, and optimizing training performance. The ideal candidate will also improve the scalability and observability of the RL stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems for all RL workloads
• Profile, debug, and optimize end-to-end training performance
• Improve scalability and observability of the RL stack

Qualifications

• Experience building, debugging, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems
• Comfortable working in unfamiliar areas and solving problems at all levels of the stack
• Proficiency in Python, Jax, Rust, and/or C++

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with large-scale language model (LLM) training infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of reinforcement learning techniques
• Experience with RL numerics

Pay

$180,000 - $440,000 USD Base salary
