About the role
The Role
Being a Member of Technical Staff at SketchPro means the problem in front of you will keep changing. You might spend a week designing how an agent represents a Revit model in context, then shift to building the eval harness that tells you whether its dimensioning actually holds up against a firm's standards.
We're early, there are no static teams yet, and you're early enough to shape what they become. Some engineers here will go broad across the stack; others will go deep on one hard technical area. What stays constant: you'll apply state-of-the-art LLMs and VLMs to agentic workflows for 3D CAD and construction documentation, and you'll own the systems that result, end to end.
Responsibilities
- Agent engineering: context design, tool design, and the reasoning loops that let an agent operate over a building model
- Multimodal reasoning: getting LLMs and VLMs to read 2D drawings and 3D geometry the way an architect does
- Platform integrations: deep, real-world hooks into Autodesk Revit first, Bluebeam, Procore, and the rest of the AEC stack
- Eval systems: measuring whether an agent's output would match an architect's review
- Geometry & drafting models: prototyping and iterating on generation for drawings, sheets, and documentation
Requirements
Non-negotiables
- In-person in San Francisco, 5 days a week (our office is next to Salesforce Tower)
- Excited to work with coding agents day to day
- Excited to work at the frontier of applying AI agents to a massive real-world industry
Qualifications
- Strong product/engineering background building products with AI at their core
- Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems and craft reliable and efficient solutions
- Thrives in early-stage environments: self-directed, resourceful, excited to build 0 → 1
- Previous startup experience preferred
