About the role
The Research Engineer will work on synthetic data generation pipelines to create RL environments and ensure their quality.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize synthetic data generation pipelines for RL environments.
- Develop and maintain pipelines to ensure high quality of generated environments.
- Work on foundational NLP & RL techniques.
- Utilize modern programming languages (Python, C++, or similar) on Linux systems.
- Build large-scale services, infrastructure tooling, or distributed systems.
- Reason about trade-offs between performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to general software engineering practices and experience with Large Language Model (LLM) training is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of foundational NLP & RL Techniques.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and system design.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, C++, or similar) on Linux systems.
- Experience building large-scale services, infrastructure tooling, or distributed systems.
- Ability to reason about trade-offs between performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Any (new grads ok) experience is acceptable.
