About the Team

The Nutanix Service Provider team is building the next generation Service Provider platform to help managed service providers offer seamless multitenancy, ensuring that tenants have isolated environments, control over virtual networks, and the ability to scale workloads dynamically. SPs should be able to offer simpler pricing models and a streamlined infrastructure that minimizes complexity and operational overhead to their tenants. The SP platform would ensure compliance with local data residency requirements and offering secure, GDPR-compliant solutions is critical for service providers in regulated markets. Ultimately, the SP platform would be able to provide advanced offerings like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) to meet their customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable protocol clients/servers and async network code for core multi-tenant infrastructures.
  • Build massively parallel systems, develop efficient graph walkers, and optimize database performance for cloud-scale applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, isolated virtual networking capabilities and dynamic workload scaling tools.
  • Architect and optimize backend platform engines using Go, Python, or Java to sustain reliable multi-cloud systems software.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering with 5 - 8 Years of experience in designing and developing applications.
  • Strong experience in Linux, Kubernetes, and one of the following programming languages: GoLang, Java, or Python.
  • Working experience working with storage, networking, virtualization (Nutanix, VMWare, KVM) and/or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL, Document-based) and messaging systems (NATS, Kafka, Pulsar).
  • Familiarity with OS internals, concepts of distributed data management, web-scale systems, and a proven ability to build clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed applications or systems software.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: USD $143,200 to USD $285,600 per year at commencement of employment.
  • Additional Elements: Sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards.

Pay

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $143,200 and USD $285,600 per annual. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Schedule

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
