Member Experience Representative - Part-Time

About the role

The Member Experience Representative will assist members and non-members of the credit union with various administrative and financial transactions. This role involves processing routine banking transactions and recommending products and services based on the member’s financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet members in a professional and courteous manner and assist them with all issues, questions, and requests.
• Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cashiers’ checks, money orders, and loan payments in person, by telephone, or mail.
• Balance and verify transactions and cash totals on a daily basis.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the complete line of products and services and offer appropriate products and services to members and potential members.
• Open and close computer terminal accounts daily.
• Examine documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detect and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Perform drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ cash handling experience.
• Prior banking/credit union experience preferred.

• Ability to operate 10-key series.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Must be able to access and navigate facility with reasonable accommodations.
• Lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items.
