Verity is hiring for a Full-Time Member Consultant I at their Beacon Hill/Rainier Branch. Founded in 1933, Verity is a local member-owned credit union and the only one in the Pacific Northwest that is part of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV).

The Member Consultant I enhances members' lives by creating trusted relationships. They handle in-branch transactions, member service requests, open secondary deposit accounts, and non-real estate consumer loans. They also educate members on account transactions and cross-sell additional products and services.

Pay and Benefits
Base Pay: Salary range is $23.67 (minimum) to $35.51 (maximum), with a midpoint of $29.59. Starting pay is based on experience and education.
Commission / Incentive Pay: Monthly incentives.
Paid Time Off: 11 paid holidays per year, plus PTO starting at 20 days/year.

Essential Job Functions
Adhere to the Verity Experience Process in every member interaction.
Identify ways to cross-sell Verity's products and services.
Capture relevant information and input it into the CRM system.
Process transactions including wires, payments, and IRA distributions.
Resolve member issues while adhering to Verity's policies and procedures.
Originate, process, and fund consumer loans such as credit cards, lines of credit, and auto loans.
Originate deposit accounts like checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit.
Collaborate with your team to achieve sales, service, and community goals.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a financial institution.
Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform minor mathematical calculations and collect and analyze data.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to present a positive and professional image to all employees and members.
Ability to organize and prioritize to meet work deadlines.

Effectively communicate with diverse staff, members, and vendors.
Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
