Member & Community Service Intern, SACC-New England, Fall 2026

About the role

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce New England (SACC-NE) is a non-profit trade organization established in 1998. With over 800 members, it is the leading Swedish-American business network in the region, connecting businesses, professionals, and students.

SACC New England’s mission is to accelerate trade and foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and business opportunities between Sweden and New England. Based in Boston, a key hub for entrepreneurship and innovation on the U.S. East Coast, we provide valuable connections and support for diverse sectors, including large corporations, SMEs, startups, and academia.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and executing trade missions, facilitating meaningful connections between entities in the U.S. and Sweden.
• Foster global collaboration and understanding within the business community.
• Implement initiatives designed to elevate member satisfaction and engagement, ensuring the thriving of our community.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and address member needs.
• Manage diverse projects that align seamlessly with our organizational goals.
• Contribute to the development and execution of creative community-focused projects.
• Be at the forefront of initiatives that bring our community together, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

Requirements

• Recently graduated from a university program within a relevant field of study.
• Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
• Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Familiarity with business strategies, project management, and organizational development concepts through academic coursework.
• Passion for international business.
• Eagerness to make a significant impact within a dynamic organization.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• The selected candidate will receive a scholarship from the Scholarship Fund for Swedish Youth Abroad.
• The position provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience and business-related skills, while also developing a professional international network.
• Working in a highly inspirational atmosphere and collaborating with industry leaders and professionals across various business sectors will allow you to acquire new experiences and enhance your skills.
• You will gain insight into how business is conducted in the U.S., as well as improve your English speaking and writing skills.
• Developing an understanding of U.S. customs and culture and becoming adept at cross-cultural communication are invaluable skills for your future career.
