Location: Landisville, PA • Contract to Hire • Onsite
Schedule
36 hours per week, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Melt elements used to produce alloy for the production of rare earth magnets and crush alloy for ball milling and jet milling operations.
- Adhere to required safety precautions including handling hydrogen, nitrogen, and argon gases, lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Clean and prepare furnaces and work area to set standards.
- Accurately weigh material for melt load amount/alloy type and transfer into the furnace.
- Organize raw materials to ensure correct material lots are used.
- Identify flaws in coil boxes and crucibles and perform repairs as necessary.
- Perform required preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Monitor furnaces for melt accuracy and meet production rates and quality standards.
- Record data accurately into ERP computer system, manufacturing routers, logs, databases, and control charts.
- Perform in-process inspections as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret part prints.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Action-oriented and independent with a sense of urgency.
