Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up, run and tear down of furnaces.
- Identify material coming out of molds.
- Load, operate and unload anneal furnaces.
- Transport and ship electrodes.
- Build, rebuild and repair Ladles, Launder Boxes and Stopper Rod Assemblies.
- Operate jib hoist and the 5 ton crane.
- Operate launder box drier and stopper rod drier.
- Maintain logs and records.
- Can up weighed out heats in correct sequence.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Required to pass IME screening, required to pass Respirator Protection screening.
- Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, Fork truck experience, Use ordinary arithmetic, including fractions.
