Melissa Grocery - Overnight Stocker - Part time
As a Night Stocker, you'll become part of a highly-functioning team in the Grocery or Drug Store department, working to meet common goals and sharing the nighttime work lifestyle. You'll learn about multiple products and departments across the store, building skills that can lead to other roles and a potential career at H-E-B.
Responsibilities
- Stock shelves, refill displays, and load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products; may unload trucks.
- Condition shelves and products, applying product knowledge (e.g., rotation dates, shelf/label info) to meet A+ Standards.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized department, including back rooms and shelves.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and leader direction to ensure compliance and execution.
- Meet federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product food safety and sanitation.
- Work efficiently and with a team attitude, complying with productivity standards.
- Accept and apply constructive feedback to improve future tasks; may coach or train other Stockers.
- Operate with a team mindset, collaborating across departments (e.g., Curbside) and building relationships.
- Learn and model customer service and hospitality for both customers and store partners.
- Assist customers in locating products and answering product-related questions.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience in stocking and customer service is preferred; experience in a physically demanding job is a plus.
- Understanding of SOPs related to emergency procedures, proper stocking, and other operational guidance.
- Strong communication, reading, and writing skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Customer service skills and a service-oriented mentality.
- Ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Ability to think quickly, work with agility, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Skills
- Forklift/power jack training (provided upon hire).
