Allen Grocery - Overnight Stocker - Part time

About the role

As a Night Stocker, you'll join a dynamic team in the Grocery or Drug Store department, fostering teamwork, and embracing the nightlife aspect of the job. You'll gain valuable insights into various products and departments, setting a foundation for potential career growth at H-E-B.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves, refills displays
• Loads, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products; may unload trucks
• Conditions shelves and products
• Learns and applies product knowledge, focusing on details like rotation dates and shelf labeling
• Keeps the department clean and organized (including back rooms and shelves)
• Ensures compliance with SOPs and leader direction
• Maintains cleanliness and adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations
• Works efficiently and collaboratively with a team, maintaining productivity standards
• Takes constructive feedback and applies it to future tasks
• May coach and train other Stockers
• Operates with a team mindset, cross-functionally within the Store, and builds relationships across departments
• Models customer service and hospitality, interacting with both customers and store partners
• Aids customers in locating products and answering questions

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience: Experience in stocking and customer service (preferred); experience in physically demanding jobs a plus
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understanding of SOPs and emergency procedures; communication, organization, time management, and customer service skills; ability to lift up to 100 lbs

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Work in a fast-paced, demanding Store environment, paying close attention to detail
• May be exposed to cold, loud noise, ambient temperatures, and wet conditions
• Must demonstrate the ability to lift and manage weights as specified for each department
