As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store. You’ll turn everyday moments into meaningful moments by creating welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Responsibilities
- Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
- Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
- Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
- Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
- Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
- Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Enjoy working with people and providing great service
- Comfortable learning and using technology
- Strong listening, communication, and organizational skills
- Dependable, detail‑oriented, and eager to help
- Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
