Position Summary
The Event Operations, Training & Process Manager is responsible for CBRE's event onboarding, training, process standardization, and system governance supporting the Client Event Team. This role ensures consistent planning and execution of onsite and offsite events across all regions while partnering with Client FTE's CBRE, and other Event Team stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Training
- Own end-to-end onboarding for all new CBRE Event Team hires.
- Serve as the primary CBRE onboarding point of contact for client.
- Develop onboarding schedules and communicate plans and progress to Management and associated clients.
- Coordinate SMEs, training sessions, event shadowing, and readiness for independent event support.
- Manage onboarding travel and logistics or provide comprehensive virtual training.
- Develop and maintain CBRE onboarding materials, job aids, SOPs, and a scalable video training library.
- Manage annual reboarding, compliance reviews, refresher training, and ongoing cross-training.
- Identify capability gaps and coordinate additional training as needed.
- Event Process Standardization
- Own and standardize end-to-end processes for onsite and offsite event planning and implementation.
- Develop and maintain standardized SOPs, SLAs, workflows, templates, and checklists.
- Standardize key event processes, including: Event intake and scoping, Planning timelines and stakeholder communications, Venue and onsite logistics, Registration and attendee management, Catering, AV, technology, and production, Security, safety, and accessibility, Vendor and transportation coordination, Staffing and resource planning, Budgeting, approvals, and expense management, Day-of-event execution and escalation, Post-event reconciliation and lessons learned.
- Establish clear roles and handoffs between CBRE, Client, vendors, and Event Team partners.
- Drive consistency across regions while accommodating documented local requirements.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve event delivery, efficiency, and attendee experience.
- Systems & Data Management
- Standardize the use of core Event Team systems.
- Ensure all events are initiated through the proper processes and tracked through designated systems.
- Minimize duplicate systems and offline tracking.
- Ensure accurate data entry and timely system updates.
- Maintain visibility into event and registration pipelines, team capacity, and bandwidth.
- Monitor adherence to established SOPs and SLAs.
- Financial Process Alignment
- Ensure compliance with established CBRE and Client financial policies.
- Standardize event codes, cost centers, expense tracking, approvals, reconciliation, and financial closeout.
- Partner with Event Team and finance stakeholders to resolve recurring process or training gaps.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in event operations, training, onboarding, or program management.
- Experience developing and implementing standardized processes and SOPs.
- Knowledge of onsite and offsite event planning and execution.
- Experience with EMS, Cvent, or similar event management systems preferred.
- Strong project management, communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams, regions, and multiple stakeholder groups.

Pay
The minimum salary for the Meeting & Events Manager position is $115,000 annually and the maximum salary is $132,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
