Position Summary
The MEDITECH Expanse LAB Analyst will serve as a key member of the CereCore team supporting the HCA Lab Product Team. This role will focus on the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the MEDITECH Expanse LAB module across HCA facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the MEDITECH Expanse LAB module
- Partner with laboratory leadership, end users, clinicians, and IT stakeholders to design and validate optimal lab workflows
- Advise clients on best-practice workflows and MEDITECH Expanse LAB functionality
- Configure, test, and support LAB functionality including microbiology, analyzer interfaces, and integrations as applicable
- Participate in go-live preparation and remote Command Center support
- Analyze lab data to support operational, clinical, and billing-related workflows (training can be provided for billing concepts)
- Develop and maintain project documentation, build guides, and workflow artifacts
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to project leadership and clients
- Independently manage assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Share knowledge with peers through peer-to-peer training and collaborative problem solving
- Incorporate lessons learned and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
Position Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with MEDITECH Expanse implementation, specifically for the LAB module
- Strong understanding of end-to-end clinical laboratory workflows
- Experience supporting, building, or optimizing LAB workflows during implementations, upgrades, or optimization efforts
- Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal oversight
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional clinical, operational, and technical teams
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and customer-service mindset
- Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced, enterprise healthcare environment
- Flexibility to travel Nashville occasionally for go-live support (preferred)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare IT experience will be considered.
