About the role
The Medication Technician at CRISTA Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the medication program, providing customer service, and supporting the caregiving staff. This position adheres to CRISTA policies and applicable WAC requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain medication files and resident records.
- Document medication assistance in the eMAR and maintain required records.
- Perform daily audits of resident eMARs and CSRs.
- Assist residents with ADL tasks, including housekeeping, meal service, and personal care.
- Communicate changes in residents' conditions to relevant staff.
- Ensure the medication room is clean and well-organized.
- Respond to emergency signals and call systems.
- Support the care staff and uphold service standards.
- Act as Manager on Duty when the Supervisor is not scheduled.
Requirements
- WA state NAC license in good standing.
- CPR/AED and First Aid Card.
- Nurse Delegation Core, Nurse Delegation Diabetes, Mental Health and Dementia Training Certification.
- Food Handlers permit.
- Current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
- Completion of state specific training required, completed in mandated time frame.
- Able to set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and HWD.
Qualifications
- High school graduate, GED or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a NAC in LTC or other related health care setting with emphasis on medication management.
- Christ-centered belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Demonstrated commitment to spiritual growth and development.
- Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions.
- Functional level in reading, writing, communicating in and interpreting English.
- Strong communication skills in writing and verbal.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull/push 100 pounds.

- Highly skilled in multi-tasking and handling constant interruptions.
- Proficient in setting up, recording, and assisting with medications.

Pay
$23.80 - $26.00 per hour, DOE.
