About the role
The Medication Technician/Medication Passer plays a crucial leadership role in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of medications in our senior living community. This position involves developing, coordinating, and executing the Growth and Wellness plan based on elder preferences and abilities. Key responsibilities include guiding and supporting Care Partners, leading the shift, participating in interviews, providing orientation and training, coaching team members, collaborating with the RCC and Administrator for scheduling, and maintaining medication compliance.
Responsibilities
- Pass medication and assist with self-administration of medication as required by state law.
- Guide and support the Medication Technicians on their shift.
- Lead the Care Partners on their shift as a role model of kindness, accountability, and collaboration.
- Provide orientation and training to new Care Partners and Medication Technicians.
- Coach team members to be the best they can be in collaboration with the Administrator.
- Work in collaboration with the RCC and Administrator for scheduling.
- Maintain continued compliance with policies and procedures of Compass Senior Living.
