Medication Technician / Caregiver

Columbia Cottage is seeking experienced Medication Technicians / Caregivers who are passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors. This position offers a starting salary of $18.00 per hour plus shift differentials, comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) with employer match, dental and vision medical insurance, and more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications according to physician orders
• Assist residents with taking medications safely and effectively
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects
• Document all medication administration in MAR accurately
• Obtain vital signs, blood glucose, and other ordered measurements
• Provide encouragement, education, and emotional support to residents
• Deliver hands-on care and assist with daily living activities

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Medication Technician certification
• Diabetes training
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare
