Medication Technician

Responsibilities

• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living
• Affords assistance with medication reminders, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence
• Sets up, serves meals, and cleans up afterwards
• Assists with moving Residents in and out, as assigned
• Performs laundry service
• Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to infection control procedures
• Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors, including performing housekeeping services for Residents

Qualifications

• A high school diploma
• At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• A Certified Medication Aide Certificate
• A full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing
• Alzheimer’s and Dementia training is preferred but not required
