Medication Technician

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
- Keep accurate care records.
- Follow outlined procedures, physicians' orders, and state laws when assisting or supervising residents with medications.
- Exhibit an understanding of and be willing to follow medication policy and procedures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
- A valid First Aid Certification and, according to state regulations, a current CPR certification.
- A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation.
- Maintain all required licenses and meet continuing education requirements.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
- Prolonged periods of walking or standing.
- Able to lift, carry, and place up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Able to bend, stoop, and push constantly.
Qualifications
This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility. Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations, may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).
Fluency in speaking, reading, and understanding English is required.

Pay
The pay range is $19.00 - $21.50 per hour, with a DOE.
