Medication Technician
About the role
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) / Med Tech is responsible for enhancing the overall Resident experience through the provision of exceptional daily nursing care and service in accordance with each resident's personalized care plan. The Certified Medication Aide assists with activities of daily living, like dressing, eating, grooming, communicating, toileting, personal hygiene and mobility needs, as well as preparing and administering medications according to health care provider instructions and within the scope of Grand Living’s license.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the Resident experience through exceptional daily nursing care and service.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as dressing, eating, grooming, communicating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility needs.
- Prepare and administer medications according to health care provider instructions and within the scope of Grand Living’s license.
- Provide care in a manner that reflects The Sterling Touch® principles: friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional.
- Work under the general guidance of the Director of Health and Wellness in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED, required.
- One to two years of experience working with Seniors preferred, but not required.
- A Certified Medication Aide License, required.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language to provide assistance with ADLs in accordance with each assigned resident’s personalized care plan, observe and provide medication assistance to residents, react and communicate during emergencies, and communicate with other employees, supervisors, residents, and guests.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Pay
Compensation is competitive and varies based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Shift 1: 3PM-11PM (Part-time)
- Shift 2: 7AM-7PM (Full-time)
- Shift 3: 7PM- 7AM (Full-time)
Schedule: Weekdays + Rotating weekends
