Medication Technician

About the role

Creekview is a newly constructed 5-star CMS rated health center providing living options in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. We use state of the art equipment to achieve excellent clinical outcomes as recognized by the acute hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Accepts, accounts for, and documents all new medications brought into the facility
  • Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications
  • Maintains accurate medication documentation and records
  • Guides the resident in maintaining their schedule of daily activities, while maintaining the resident's sense of independence
  • Individualizes care and assistance provided to each resident depending on level of functioning
  • Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising
  • Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Schedule

Full-time varied schedule (Friday - Sun or Thursday - Tuesday PM Shift, 2pm - 10:30pm). Must have flexibility to meet departmental needs with weekend and holiday availability. 40 hours a week with 2 days off.

Pay

$23 - $25 an hour

Qualifications

  • High school graduate, student or equivalent
  • Completion of required RCFE training as Medication Technician
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • At least one year of experience as a caregiver in a facility or in-home caregiving
  • Ability to work in a health care and CCRC environment
  • Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Must maintain current First Aid
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
