Responsibilities
- Administering medications, effectively and safely, to assisted living tenants.
- Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice and individuality of tenants.
- Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the tenant and an understanding of the aging process.
- Reviews Tenant Service Plans as needed to gain and maintain familiarity with tenant service needs and preferences.
- Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions.
- Provides personal services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Tenant Service Plans.
- Responds to calls from the emergency call system in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
- Maintains a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed.
- Affords assistance with individual tenant and group social/recreational activities as requested; encourages tenant participation in activities.
- Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures.
- Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received.
- Works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medication administration and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Schedule
Shifts: In general, we offer 8-hour shifts. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions. Day Shift: 6am-2:30 pm
