Medication Manager

Responsibilities

  • Administering medications, effectively and safely, to assisted living tenants.
  • Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice and individuality of tenants.
  • Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the tenant and an understanding of the aging process.
  • Reviews Tenant Service Plans as needed to gain and maintain familiarity with tenant service needs and preferences.
  • Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions.
  • Provides personal services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Tenant Service Plans.
  • Responds to calls from the emergency call system in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed.
  • Affords assistance with individual tenant and group social/recreational activities as requested; encourages tenant participation in activities.
  • Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures.
  • Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received.
  • Works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Competitive wages and shift differentials are provided.

Schedule

Shifts: In general, we offer 8-hour shifts. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions. Day Shift: 6am-2:30 pm
